Saudade Perspective

These works relay the vibrant beauty I experienced on a recent trip to Rio de Janeiro. While creating these pieces, I allowed myself to embody the urgency of fleeting excitement, the freedom I felt there; recalling the tenderness of intimacy. An atmosphere best captured by the Portuguese saying, saudade.

I was able to unlock a new level of creativity by expressing a more personal side. Having the privilege to make mistakes, acting with purpose and urgency, and experimenting with mediums. I present these personal reflections of the beauty of a foreign land and the stories of people who impacted me along the way. These works embody themes of perspective, brotherhood, and vulnerability - both in subject matter and execution.
